트레이더스 회원제‘E-Mart Traders’ has introduced a paid membership system under the name of ‘Traders Wholesale Club’.
Like Costco, it is a membership service where you pay an annual fee and receive various discounts.
The difference with Costco is that you do not have to sign up for a paid membership. Traders Club is a service that allows both members and non-members to shop as before, but is cheaper and offers various benefits to paid members who pay the annual fee.
The official membership period begins in January 2023, but early bird registration is possible even before then, and the early bird benefits are quite good, so I decided to sign up.
Let’s sign up today and learn about how to join the Traders Club, prices, early bird benefits, etc.

1. Access the ‘E-Mart’ app. (Note that this is not a ssg/SSG app)
When you select ‘E-Mart’ in the upper left corner of the main screen, ‘Traders and Molly’s’ appear below. Select ‘Traders’.
2. When you go to the ‘Traders’ page, you will immediately see the Traders Club banner.
I see ‘Join TRADERS CLUB for 100 won’, but what message do you see?
* Traders Club is a paid membership service, with an annual fee of 30,000 won or 70,000 won per month.
For a limited time, customers who meet these conditions are offered an annual membership fee of 30,000 won for 100 won in an event called ‘Secret Proposal.’
* Condition 1.
– Members with Samsung Traders affiliate card
(Members who issued a card before 2022/09/16 or members who issued a card between 2022/09/17 and 2022/10/31)
* Condition 2.
– Shinsegae Point member
(Customers who purchase more than 3 million won at Traders offline stores in 2021 or customers who purchase more than 3 million won at Traders offline stores between 2021/09/01 and 2022/08/31)
3. Go to Sign up for Traders.
4. Select one of the two plans to sign up for as shown in the photo below.
You can choose between Premium (annual fee 70,000 won) or Standard (annual fee 30,000 won).
Since I have a Traders-affiliated Samsung card, I was able to sign up for Standard for 100 won.
You may be wondering what the difference is between premium and standard benefits.
Since accurate benefit information will be released in January 2023, you can change your plan by signing up for a lower rate plan now and paying more later.
5. Start registration> Agree to the required terms and conditions and attach a member photo.
Since it is a paid membership system, the clerk may ask you to verify your identity when using the club membership service.
Signing up for a store is required, so please specify a store you frequently visit.
6. Now you just have to pay the annual fee. Please check the subscription period and next payment date (regular payment).
As mentioned above, the official club membership period is from January 2023 to December 2023, but you can still receive discounts even if you sign up before with the early bird benefit. (For example, if you sign up in advance on November 14th, the period from November 14th to the end of December is free, right?)
7. Once you add the card for regular payment and make payment, your Traders Club membership registration is completed.
If you have successfully signed up, there will be several price discount coupons in your coupon box.
A 100 won subscriber like me will only receive discount coupons for Traders products, while a 30,000 or 70,000 won paid subscriber will receive two additional 10,000 won discount coupons (can be used when purchasing over 100,000 won) and five Tea Cafe Americano discount coupons.
Actually, since we are a small group, we don’t use Traders often.
Thanks to the Traders-affiliated Samsung Card, I was eligible for the 100 won subscription, so I signed up in advance.
In my case, the frequency of my visits to Traders definitely increased after joining the club. Even during the early bird period, there were discounts on more items than expected.
This time, I purchased 10kg of rice, pork belly, and a box of pears, and I’m looking forward to seeing what other items will be discounted next week.
I’m looking forward to the premium (70,000 won) plan because I heard it will add benefits from Shinsegae partners, and I’ll also post how to upgrade to premium when the benefits are revealed in January.
