Youth basic income is a Gyeonggi-do-type basic income system that supports the guarantee of young people’s basic social rights, such as the pursuit of happiness and improvement of quality of life.
Among 24-year-old young people with resident registration in Gyeonggi-do as of the date of application, who have lived continuously for more than 3 years or for a total of 10 years or more
* However, since Seongnam City has abolished its ordinance and Uijeongbu City has discontinued the youth basic income project from 2024 due to the city’s fiscal crisis and lack of city budget allocation, youth basic income cannot be paid if the address on the abstract of resident registration as of the application date is Seongnam or Uijeongbu city.
Basic income support of 250,000 won per person per quarter (maximum 1 million won) in local currency
* Lump sum payment only to basic livelihood recipients (recipient certificate required)
* The validity period of the local currency paid is 3 years, and if not used within the period, it expires (however, Siheung, Gunpo, Gwacheon: 5 years)
Youth basic income 2024 payment standards and payment schedule
Youth Basic Income 2024 payment standards and payment schedule provides information on quarterly basis, age standard date, date of birth of payment recipient, application period, screening/selection period, and payment start.
※ Quarterly schedule is subject to change depending on future circumstances.
※ Applications are available from 9:00 on the first day of the quarterly application period to 18:00 on the last day.
※ Issue amount as of application date, occurrence date, reporting date, reason for change, address change history for the past 5 years (continuous residence for more than 3 years) or in total (residence for a total of 10 years or more), and the last digit of resident registration number must be included.
