Since information such as school record books and report cards are computerized on NICE, if you have difficulty using the Internet or are not familiar with it, you can easily issue the record book through an unmanned civil service issuance machine or a community center. The NICE life record issuance fee is free at an unmanned civil service issuance machine, but if you issue it through a community center, a fee of 300 won is charged for each school. However, the issuance fee may vary depending on the city, county, or district.

Since the life record book managed by NICE contains sensitive personal information, you must verify your identity with a public certificate when checking and printing the life record book on the NICE homepage. If you use an unmanned issuance machine, you can verify your identity through fingerprint authentication, and you must bring your ID when receiving it at the resident center.
Parents who want to check their child’s school life record (school life record) can use the NICE Parent Service after receiving approval. NICE Parent Service allows you to check the school life record of the school you graduated from for 3 months after graduating from elementary or middle school.
Parents can generally check their child’s school life record through the NICE Parent Service from March to the end of May each year. Parents of first-year middle school students can check their child’s elementary and middle school school life record for 3 months after their child graduates from elementary school, and parents of first-year high school students can check their child’s elementary and middle school school life record for 3 months after their child graduates from middle school.
However, if the service is not available during the service period or 3 months have passed since graduation, if the child transferred schools after entering school (after March), if the child is not eligible for the existing service or has not received service approval from the previous school, and if the school does not use the admission system, the service cannot be used. Instructions on how to use it will be provided in a pop-up during the service period.

To receive a student record (school life record) online, go to the Office of Education page and select [School Life Record] from the [Online Issuance Civil Service] category menu. If the school you are trying to view is affiliated with a different city/provincial office of education, you will not be able to view the student record. Please double-check that the city/provincial office of education to which your school belongs is correct.
Graduates after 2003 and students currently enrolled can receive their school life records online. However, students who graduated before 2003 cannot receive their student records online because their student records are not computerized. In this case, you must visit the nearest education office, education support office, school of all levels, or local government to receive an offline school record.
