Today, I am going to post about how to check the registration criteria used when applying for a certificate, what it means, and how to check it on mobile. You may not understand the concept of registration base, but simply put, it means the domicile in the existing family register system. More details will be covered below.
What is the registration base?
The registration base is a different concept from the address on the resident registration or the actual residence. It refers to the ‘original address’ used in the existing family register system, and can be obtained by visiting a community center (village office) or issuing a basic certificate or family relationship certificate through the Supreme Court’s electronic family relationship registration system. It’s easy to check. Simply put, it is a concept that replaces domicile.
How to check registration base
1. Access the Korean court family relations system. Click Family Relationship Certificate in the upper left corner.

2. After logging in, the family relationship register viewing/issuance application screen will appear.

3. After entering all the basic information for viewing/issuing a family relationship certificate, click Apply at the bottom and you are done.

4. If you apply for a family relationship register, the final documents are as follows. The address at the top is your registration base.

The information required when applying to view/issuance of the family relationship register is as follows.
1. Subject to issuance
2.Certificate type
3. General certificate, detailed certificate, specific certificate
4. Whether resident registration number is disclosed or not
5. How to receive – Direct printing, electronic document wallet, screen viewing
6. Reason for application
You must enter a total of 6 pieces of basic information.
How to check registration base on mobile – Issuance of mobile electronic document wallet
The mobile search method for the registration base is as shown in the screen above. After accessing the Korean Court Family Relations System on your mobile phone, select the electronic document wallet as the final receipt method.
The method of issuing an electronic wallet is as follows.
1. Download the Government 24 application from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android).
2. After installation is complete, run the app.

3. Select the list at the top left of the Government 24 main screen.
4. Select the login button at the top or the electronic document wallet icon at the bottom.
5. After logging in, select the list at the top left of the main screen.
6. Select the electronic document wallet icon to go to the issuance screen.

7. Select Agree to Terms of Use.
8. Enter application information and select Issue.
9. Check the address of your electronic document wallet on the issuance completion screen.
