The background investigation (criminal record) certificate that had to be issued through an overseas diplomatic mission can now be issued online at home.
□ How to use the ‘Criminal Record Check Issuance System’
▶ Access address: Enter http://crims.police.go.kr in the Internet address bar.
▶ Terms of Use: If you wish to issue a report, you must log in using a ‘public certificate’.
*Overseas Koreans who do not have a public certificate can visit the embassy to apply and receive it.
▶ Hours of Use: Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
