서울 우먼업 Seoul Metropolitan Government recruits 100 women who have taken a career break to participate in the Women Up Internship by June 20 – News & Jobs

서울 우먼업The Seoul Woman Up Internship is a project that provides opportunities for women with career breaks to gain work experience (3 months of internship) in the workplace and helps them develop the capabilities necessary for re-employment.

Seoul Woman Up Internship is a ‘Seoul Woman Up Project’ that comprehensively supports career-interrupted women in their 30s and 40s from job search to employment and employment stability. It is a set of 3 types of employment (① Woman Up Job Search Subsidy (KRW 300,000 x 3 months) ② Woman Up Internship ( Living Wage x 3 months) ③ Women Up Employment Incentive (1 million won x 3 months)).

Among the 200 companies in Seoul that support the return to society of career-interrupted women, 167 companies were finally selected, and are waiting for career-interrupted female interns to gain work experience at these companies.

Looking at the 167 participating companies by industry, the service industry accounts for the most at 31.1%, followed by the information and communications industry at 21.0%, wholesale/retail/manufacturing at 19.8%, and tourism at 8.4%. In terms of work type, 68.3% had full-time work and 28.1% had flexible work, so jobs with work-life balance were selected first. 94.6% of participating companies responded that they were willing to hire people after the internship.

If you wish to participate in the Seoul Woman Up internship, please apply on the Seoul Women’s Ability Development Center website (Seoul Woman Up) by Tuesday, June 20th. Any unemployed or start-up woman living in Seoul (preference given between the ages of 30 and 49) can apply, and can select up to their second choice after looking at information and jobs from 167 companies.

Applicants are first matched with the desired company and job, and are paid differentially depending on the type of work at the Seoul-style living wage (11,157 won per hour), which is about 2.34 million won per month for a 40-hour workweek.

There are two types of work: ‘full-time’, which works from 9:00 to 18:00, and flexible work, which works from 10:00 to 17:00. Flexible work systems can be negotiated with companies and are divided into △selective hours system, △staggered commuting system, and △telecommuting system.

Information and detailed job descriptions of promising companies such as Gold Nex, Muhayu, A Design Group, Persol Kelly Korea, Noble Company, D Nomade, JM Career, Lub D, and Tech Plus can be found on the Seoul Woman Up website.

Internship participants are selected through a primary qualification screening and a document screening that evaluates expertise, secondary interest in work, and work performance ability. You can receive recommendations on setting up internship positions and selecting a company through 1:1 consultation with the Seoul Women’s Human Resources Development Institute. In addition, we provide counseling and support to mothers with children in their childcare period so that they can actively use the care services of the ‘Mom and Dad Happiness Project’ project.

The ‘Employment Connection Support Center’ operated by the Seoul Women and Family Foundation will also provide group job consulting on June 7 (Wed), June 12 (Mon), and June 14 (Wed). Applicants can apply during the above period. Just choose one day to participate.

In addition, the city of Seoul provides ‘Woman Up Employment Incentives’ of 1 million won per month for 3 months (total of 3 million won) to companies that hire internship participants as regular employees (or who have signed an employment contract for more than 1 year) after the completion of the 3-month internship.

We hope that many of you will participate in the Seoul Woman Up Internship, which will serve as a career ladder for women in their 30s and 40s who have left the workforce due to childbirth and childcare.
