The process is more complicated than the Korean site, but you can easily request deletion by looking at the pictures and following along.
1. Access ‘Instagram’ and go to your account.
2. Go to ‘top right menu (icon with three underlines) > Settings that appears at the bottom center.’
3. Go to ‘Settings > Help > Customer Center’.
4. Select ‘Customer Center > Account Management > Delete Account’.
5. There are two ways to delete an Instagram account: ‘temporarily deactivate’ and ‘completely delete the account.’
* If you want to stop your activity for a while, you can temporarily deactivate your account and your photos, posts, and profile will be private, and you can reactivate (make them public) any time you want.
* If you want to delete all registered photos, videos, likes, and comments, and even lose your ID, you can delete your account. For security reasons, Instagram cannot arbitrarily delete accounts. Therefore, to request deletion, you must log in to your account and enter your password.
6. Please note that if you withdraw from Instagram, you will not be able to sign up or add an account using the name (nickname) you previously used when re-registering.
To cancel, go to the ‘Account Delete Page’ written in blue in the middle of the description.
7. Select the reason for deleting your Instagram account. (I said I created a second account.)
8. Enter your password and select Delete at the bottom.
There are many reasons for deleting, but creating a secondary account is the easiest method as it does not require detailed reasons.
9. Deleting your Instagram account cannot be done immediately; a deletion period is required. Complete withdrawal takes place one month from the date of request.
There is a one-month grace period after applying for withdrawal, and if you want to cancel the withdrawal application and restore your account, you can recover your ID (recover Instagram account deletion) by logging in to the account before the end of one month.
I was a member who only glanced around for a short time, but as I spent more and more time on Instagram, I felt like I had to delete it before it got worse, so I ended up leaving. Since I can’t withdraw right away, I’ll have to wait patiently for a month.
