The first method is to use airplane mode (WiFi off), the second method is to use an anonymous Instagram search site (insta-stories, storiesdown, etc.), and the third method is to use a PC program.

Method 1. Use airplane mode (turn off Wi-Fi)
▲ Go to the Instagram app home screen and wait for 1 to 5 minutes for the top stories to load properly. Or, go to the profile you want to see the story of and wait for one minute.
▲ With the Instagram app turned on, turn on airplane mode. Find and touch the airplane-shaped icon in the status bar. Then the Wi-Fi turns off automatically. (Both Wi-Fi and data must be turned off!)
▲ Go to the Instagram app and view the story. The first few stories may be visible, but they may become invisible from the middle, which means you will have to wait longer until all the data in the story is loaded. After leaving Story, turn on Wi-Fi in the app, wait a few more minutes, and then re-enter Story.
Be sure to turn off Wi-Fi in airplane mode and watch the story! If you turn on Wi-Fi, a record of your Story visits will be recorded!
However, even with this method, there are cases where the story is not visible no matter how long you wait for the story data to load. In that case, you can move on to method 2.
Method 2. Use a site with a story sneak peek function
If the account you are viewing the story from is not a private account, you can easily view the story anonymously using the site. Also, since you are viewing the story without logging in, it will never be recorded in your story viewing history.
First, you need the Instagram ID of the account you want to view the story from.
▲ The Instagram ID is displayed in English and numeric phrases on the right side of the profile photo. I will be using the site with the story of bts_v, the fan account of BTS V.

Enter your Instagram ID in the search box and press the right button or press Enter.
Then, an Instagram story will pop up and a download button will appear at the bottom. Click to download. There are also places where you can download multiple stories while scrolling through each site. Additionally, since each site imports image files from Instagram, no records are left at all for the story owner! (As a result of my experiment, nothing appeared in the story views.)
