The friend hiding feature is to hide friends from the list. Even if you hide the friend, you can still send and receive messages, and the other person will not know that you have hidden the friend.
Blocking KakaoTalk friends is to block messages or view messages and profiles altogether. Even if the friend sends a message, it is not delivered to me, and the message is not displayed as an expression that the message was not sent to the friend, but simply shows that I did not read the message. (In other words, the 1 mark does not disappear.) Also, you can block messages and view profiles on the Blocked Friends management screen.
People who have been hidden/blocked on KakaoTalk can be returned to the friend list or deleted.
1 First, touch the settings icon in the top right corner of the screen from the friends list.
2 Select Manage Friends from the menu.
3 On the Manage Friends screen, select Manage Hidden Friends or Manage Blocked Friends.
If you want to return a hidden friend to your friends list, follow the steps below.
1 Select Manage Hidden Friends on the Friends Management screen.
2 You can see a list of hidden users on the hidden friend management screen.
3 Touch the Manage button next to the name of the person you want to reinstate.
4 Select the Return to friend list menu in the menu to return to the friend list.
5 If you select the Block menu, the friend is moved to the Hidden Friends → Blocked Friends list and messages are blocked.
1 Touch the Manage button to the right of the person you want to delete on the Manage Hidden Friends screen, and the Delete button will appear on the menu.
2 Click the Delete button to delete a KakaoTalk friend.
3 If you delete a KakaoTalk friend, it will only be deleted from the list. Messages can be exchanged with each other as in the case of hidden friends, and the other party does not know if I deleted the person. The difference from hidden friends is that if you delete a KakaoTalk friend, you won’t see it in the hidden friends list, so if you want to add a friend again, you can add it by phone number or ID, or when the other person talks to you first.
1 Block If you touch the Manage button on the right of the person on the friend management screen, you can see the Block Message, Block Message, Private Profile, and Unblock buttons.
2 If you are blocked, messages from that person are blocked. On the block management screen, you can set your profile to private here.
3 If you select the Unblock menu, you can cancel the block and return the person to your friends list.
If you make your profile private, the other party will see the default screen for everything except for the KakaoTalk name you set, such as your profile message, your picture, and your profile background picture. If you don’t want the other person to see your profile picture while blocking messages, you can select the Block Messages or Private Profile menu.
