Today we will learn about how to receive a confirmed date. One of the things you must do after moving is to receive a move-in report and confirmation date. A move-in report is also a move-in report, but it must be completed completely by the confirmed date.
Whether the house you moved to this time is on a jeonse or monthly rent basis, if the house you moved into has a loan, you must be sure to report your move-in and confirm the date of confirmation.
That shouldn’t happen, but even though you have a loan, if the landlord doesn’t repay the loan properly and it goes to auction, you may not get a single penny of the deposit back. Now, let’s take a closer look at how to receive a confirmed date.
“1. How to receive a confirmed date (in person)”
There are two ways to receive a confirmed date: by visiting the town, myeon, or dong community center in person, or by receiving the confirmed date online.
If you would like to receive it by visiting in person first, you can receive it non-stop from the move-in report + the confirmed date if you request the official in charge to include the confirmed date when registering your move-in before receiving the confirmed date.
It is better to report your move-in and confirm the date on the same day you move, but if you cannot afford it, you can easily receive it by visiting the nearby town, township, or dong community center the next day and applying. (If you visit in person, household members can also apply.)
‘1-1. What if the moving day is on a weekend?’
You can visit the community center on a weekday before moving in to receive a move-in notification and confirmation date. Of course, you can visit and receive it on the weekday after the weekend, but it is better to do it in advance rather than later, so if your moving day falls on a Saturday or Sunday, we recommend that you visit on Friday to receive it.
“2. How to receive a confirmed date (online application)”
Most of those who wish to receive it online are those who have also registered their move-in online. In this way, you can report your move-in online and even receive the confirmation date online.
You can easily receive it by accessing the Supreme Court Internet Registry Office. There is a total application fee of 500 won, and a rental agreement and ID card of the head of household are required. I will leave the address of the Supreme Court Internet Registry below. (When applying online, household members cannot apply. Only the head of the household can apply.)

‘2-1. ‘How to receive a confirmed date online’
After accessing the Supreme Court Internet Registry website posted above, logging in, and hovering over the confirmed date category at the top as shown in photo 1 above, the middle classification category will appear. If you look on the left side of the middle category category, click on ‘Complete and submit application’ under ‘Apply’.
If you click ‘Fill out and submit application’, a photo similar to photo number 2 will appear. Check ‘Agree’ and confirm. If you click OK, picture number 3 will appear. Click the ‘New’ button at the bottom right to view the rental agreement you have prepared and enter it one by one.
As shown in photo number 4, enter everything from the address to the building name, building, floor, and house number. After entering the address of the house you signed a contract with, click on the part checked in the red box in photo number 4 to enter the real estate registration number and the unique property number. The number is automatically entered in the and result fields.
The next field to enter is the ‘Contract Information’ field in photo number 5. All information, including housing type, contract date, area, rental period, deposit, monthly rent, etc., is listed in the rental agreement, so you can enter it exactly as it is in the contract.
Lastly, just enter the information of the lessor and lessee in the lessor and lessee information column. A lessor is a person who rents a house for money, and a lessee is a person who pays money to rent goods or a house, that is, enter the information of the person who receives the confirmed date. It’s possible.
One thing that is confusing here is that some people think that they must obtain the consent of the landlord (renter) when entering the above information, but there is no problem at all if you enter it without consent. All information is provided in the contract, so the lessor can enter it as is. However, if you still need to obtain consent, you can forward it to the landlord and enter the landlord’s information.
If you have entered everything up to this point, you can receive a confirmed date by paying only the 500 monthly application fee mentioned above. If you’re curious about whether it’s done correctly, you can check it again on the website, but it can also be a good idea to visit a nearby community center when you have free time and check it again.
“3. Reasons why you need to receive a confirmed date”
You only have to go through the trouble once, but it is right to receive the really cumbersome move-in report and confirmation date for the sake of priority repayment rights. The right to preferential repayment refers to the right to receive priority repayment for the deposit, whether it is a monthly rent deposit or a jeonse deposit, made by the person who rented the house, that is, the lessee.
If a problem arises with a rented house and it has to go to auction or public auction, it can be viewed as a right to protect the common people, allowing them to receive dividends from the winning price for the building before others.
Can everyone use this right to preferential repayment, which is a right to protect the common people? It’s not like that. Only tenants who have reported moving in and have a confirmed date can receive priority repayment.
That kind of thing shouldn’t happen, but it’s human to not know what’s ahead, and you never know when and what will happen, so in order to protect your deposit, you must receive a move-in report and a confirmed date, right? There is nothing difficult or complicated about receiving a confirmed date or moving in, so I hope you receive it.
