hello. This is a Koye couple. After using KakaoTalk, I became a member of numerous group chat rooms. The reason I can’t go out even though I’m in a room where there’s no more conversation is because the phrase “000 has left” appears.
Previously, there was an option to [Leave Quietly] only in team chat rooms created by paid KakaoTalk users. There were many users who expressed disappointment with this feature limited to paid users. With the KakaoTalk update on May 10th, the Quiet Quit function has been added to the KakaoTalk group chat room regardless of whether it is paid or free.
To use this feature, you need to update KakaoTalk (v10.2.0). Please search for “KakaoTalk” in the App Store or Play Store according to your operating system and click [Update]. After updating, press [Open] to execute.
Now select Settings (gear wheel ⚙️ ) in the top right corner of KakaoTalk at the bottom of More (…).
Find [Lab] in the settings menu and select it. Labs, as you can see from the menu, is a collection of experimental features that you can try out before making them official.
If you check [Use Lab], various functions that can be used in Lab appear. Among them, if you activate the [Leave Chat Room Quietly] option, the settings are all over.
Now go to the group chat room you want to leave.
Click the menu (three) on the top right > Exit button on the bottom left. Up to this point, it is the same as the way to get out of the existing group chat room.
[Leave chat room] Check the [Leave quietly] in the center of the notification window and click [Leave]. Then you can literally leave the chat room quietly without a message saying that 00 has left.
From the point of view of a person in the same group chat room, since there is no corresponding phrase, you have to open the upper right menu to find the name in the contact list, but you can see that the person has left the chat room.

In addition to this KakaoTalk update, [Live Text function], which can instantly recognize text in a photo, and [Check and send function], which allows you to check attachments before sending them, have been added.
