Product warranty period
The warranty period is 12 months from the date of purchase. When registering a device for the first time after an offline purchase, or if proof of purchase date cannot be provided, it is considered 15 months from the product manufacturing date. If you would like proof of purchase date, please contact the Customer Service Center (080-000-1905).
Information on exchanges due to product defects within the warranty period
1. If a defect is found in the product during the warranty period, it will be replaced with the same product free of charge, but repair service is not provided. (However, defects caused by customer negligence are excluded and can be exchanged for the same product in a different color depending on inventory conditions). You can use the self-diagnosis service at IQOS.com or visit the customer service center or a designated service center to apply for an exchange service. However, if the heater blade is damaged due to the customer’s negligence, exchange service is available only once within the warranty period if membership registration and device registration are completed.
2. If proof of purchase date cannot be provided, the quality warranty period is considered to be 15 months from the product manufacturing date.
3. If you apply through the customer service center or the IQOS.com self-diagnosis service, product exchange will be handled by receiving a new product through a designated courier company and returning the product with a defect found.
4. If you request an exchange at a designated service center, the exchange will be handled by receiving a new product from the service center and returning the product with a defect found.
5. If you do not return a defective product during exchange, there may be restrictions on the next exchange service.
6. The warranty period of the exchanged product is calculated by comparing the remaining warranty period of the existing product in which the defect was discovered as of the date of exchange and 3 months from the date of exchange, whichever is longer.
7. Consumables (Easy Cleaner, Cleaning Stick) and accessories are excluded from the free warranty, which is different from Korea’s consumer dispute resolution standards.
