▼ New vehicle limited warranty
Tesla provides a new vehicle limited warranty, which includes the basic vehicle limited warranty, the occupant protection device limited warranty, and the battery and drivetrain limited warranty.
▽ Basic vehicle limited warranty
The basic vehicle limited warranty applies for 4 years or 80,000 km, whichever comes first.
▽ Occupant protection device limited warranty
The occupant protection device limited warranty applies for 5 years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first.
▽ Battery and Drivetrain Limited Warranty
Model S is warranted for 8 years or 240,000 km, whichever comes first, subject to battery capacity retention of 70% or more during the warranty period.
Model X
Model3 RWD is warranted for 8 years or 160,000 km, whichever comes first, subject to battery capacity retention of 70% or more during the warranty period.
Model3 Long Range is warranted for 8 years or 192,000 km, whichever comes first, subject to battery capacity retention of 70% or more during the warranty period.

Applies only to vehicles purchased directly from Tesla on or after the date specified in the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
All Tesla vehicles purchased prior to that date are covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty effective from the date of purchase of the vehicle directly from Tesla.

▼ Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Limited Warranty
Tesla Certified Pre-Owned vehicles are covered for the remaining 4 years or 80,000 km of the Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty. After expiration, the Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty provides additional coverage for 1 year or 20,000 km.
If the Basic Limited Warranty has already expired, the Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty provides coverage for 1 year or 20,000 km from the date of delivery.
The original limited warranty for the battery and drivetrain also applies to the used vehicle for the remainder of the warranty period.
▼ Parts, Body and Paint Repair Limited Warranty
– Tesla parts purchased directly from Tesla, or purchased online and in the market, or Tesla parts purchased and installed by Tesla Service Centers and Tesla Authorized Repairers may be covered under the Parts, Body and Paint Repair Limited Warranty.
– Failure means the complete failure or inability of a covered part to perform its intended function due to a defect in the part or workmanship of a part manufactured or supplied by Tesla under normal use.
– Failure does not include the gradual deterioration of operating performance due to normal wear and tear.
– The Tesla Parts, Body and Paint Repair Limited Warranty begins on the date of purchase of the part and extends for 12 months or 20,000 km, whichever comes first.

Drivetrain: 4 years or 80,000 km, whichever comes first
Vehicle High Voltage Battery: 4 years or 80,000 km, whichever comes first
Wall Connector: 4 years
Touchscreen and Media Control Unit: 2 years or 40,000 km, whichever comes first
Excluding Tesla Roadster, which has a warranty period of 2 years or 40,000 km, whichever comes first.
