First of all, KT’s annual points for each grade vary depending on the previous year’s performance. Up to 150,000 points are paid, and in my case, about 120,000 points were given as VIP grade.
As above, the points paid are different depending on the annual amount of use.
In my case, I’m using the “Data ON Video” plan of 69,000 won per month, which is now lost, so it’s about 800,000 won per year.
However, KT is upgrading the rating to VIP for customers with more than 6 years of actual mobile use and gold rating.
So in my case, I receive 120,000 points per year, which is a VIP-grade benefit.

KT is divided into food, shopping, leisure, and convenience/culture categories, partnering with various brands and providing benefits to membership members.
Some of them had small discount rates that didn’t mean much, but I’ll introduce you to some useful benefits from my judgment.

1. Starbucks americano short size free
Starbucks, a cafe that is everywhere these days, offers a americano short size 6 times a year for free based on a VIP rating.
Of course, the short size is small, but I think it’s a pretty good benefit because you can add a few hundred won and drink it in a tall or grande size.
2. Amusement parks (Lotte World, Everland, etc.)
When I went to the amusement park once, I had a lot of trouble finding an affiliate card, but I was offering a pretty good discount for KT membership.
First of all, Lotte World was offering a 50% discount on VIP basis and a 30% discount on up to three accompanying people.
In the case of Everland, there may be changes in monthly benefits, but like Lotte World as of November, it was offering a 50% discount for itself and a 30% discount for up to three people with company.
In addition, various theme parks such as Seoul Land, E-World, and Aqua Planet are offering discounts.
3. Discounts on movie theaters (CGV, Megabox, Lotte Cinema, etc.)
Movie tickets and KT membership benefits, which have recently increased prices, allow you to watch movies at discounts.
First of all, you can get a discount of up to 5,000 won for CGV. However, it does not apply to special theaters such as IMAX or 3D, but only in regular 2D theaters.
Megabox offers monthly “moon benefits” and VIP-rated “5,000 won viewing coupons” per person. Although it is on a first-come, first-served basis, it seems to be okay for 40,000 people.
Lotte Cinema is also offering a 5,000 won viewing coupon for 40,000 people on a first-come, first-served basis as a “moon benefit.”
KT membership points, can you cash in?
I can get discounts from various partners when I need them, but as the saying goes, if you don’t spend money, you’ll get 100% off, I think many people are wondering how to cash in the points they receive every year.
Actually, there is no way to cash KT membership points directly yet.
It’s not my personal preferred method, but many people are ‘accidentally’ cashing in KT membership points.
The method is as follows.
1. a ticket sale for a movie
Posting movie tickets on used trading sites such as carrot markets and lightning markets.
It receives the movie, movie theater, and screening time that the buyer wants.
Next, we will receive the aforementioned KT membership benefits to book the movie that the buyer wants.
After that, we will pass the movie ticket to the buyer.
2. Selling data
We sell data using a service called ‘Y Box’ provided by KT.
You can only share up to 2,000MB per month to others.
