긴급복지 생계지원금 신청방법Emergency welfare livelihood support
* Eligibility to apply
1. In case of loss of income due to the death of the main income earner, runaway from home, disappearance, detention, etc. 2. In case of serious illness or injury.
3. If you have been neglected, abandoned, or abused by a family member
4. If you have suffered domestic violence or sexual violence from a family member
5. When it is difficult to live in the house or building where you live due to fire or natural disaster, etc.
6. When the main or secondary income earner’s business becomes difficult due to suspension or closure of business or a fire at the workplace, etc.
7. In case of loss of income due to unemployment of the main or secondary earner
8. When a cause prescribed by local government ordinance occurs in accordance with the standards prescribed by Ordinance of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
– Lack of income-generating activities (nursing/nurturing/nursing of household members), suspension/undecided basic benefits, interruption of water/gas, non-payment of social insurance premiums/house rent, etc.
9. Other cases determined and announced by the Minister of Health and Welfare
① When the main income earner is divorced
② In case of power outage (including installation of low power limiter)
③ When a person who has been released from a correctional facility (including those released on maturity, parolees, suspended sentences, etc.) has difficulty making a living
④ If you are homeless due to neglect or abandonment by your family or difficulty making a living.
⑤ If you are a person subject to welfare blind spot detection, a subject of integrated case management, or a high-risk group for suicide and have been recommended by the relevant department (agency) as having difficulty making a living
(Temporary) If the main or secondary income earner has lost income due to unpaid leave, etc. due to COVID-19.
(Temporary) When the income of the main or secondary earner who is self-employed, a special type of worker, or a freelancer has decreased sharply due to COVID-19.

* Selection criteria
1. Income: Selected if the standard median income is less than 75% (KRW 1,671,334 for 1 person, KRW 4,297,434 for 4 people).
2. The property standards are as follows:
*(Meaning of property) General property + financial property + insurance, subscription savings, housing subscription comprehensive savings – liabilities
Large cities: KRW 241 million or less / Small and medium-sized cities: KRW 152 million or less / Rural areas: KRW 130 million or less
Financial assets: Supported if they are worth less than 6 million won.
3. No duplicate benefits of living allowance.

* Support details
1. Payment in cash according to the number of people in the household.
– One-person household: 713,100 won
– Family of 2: KRW 1,178,400
– Family of 3: KRW 1,508,600
– Family of 4: KRW 1,833,500
– Family of 5: KRW 2,142,600
– Family of 6: KRW 2,437,800
* Payment is made at a flat rate depending on the number of family members. If there are 7 or more family members, 286,900 won is added for each additional member.
* Starting from 2021, cooling costs will be included in the amount of emergency welfare livelihood support.

* Application procedure
1. Request support or report by visiting or calling the administrative welfare center (community center) of the relevant city, county, district or town/village in person.
2. Initial consultation and service application – Comprehensive investigation and screening of target – Confirmation of target – Reception of objection – Service support – Service follow-up management
* Services that cannot be applied for twice: Support for child support for single-parent families
