If you are using cash, you will always be asked if you want a cash receipt.
There seems to be a lot of people who still don’t know why they need a cash receipt.
Today, I am going to explain why and how to arrange cash receipts. 현금영수증 조회
In addition, we will look into the year-end settlement VAT inquiry application and mandatory issuance of the Act.
* Reason and arrangement for cash receipt
First, let’s take a look at the reasons for cash receipts and how to organize them.
There are two main reasons for issuing a cash receipt. Tax evasion prevention and income deduction.
Perhaps the biggest reason is tax evasion prevention. Let’s take a look at each one. 이베이스매뉴얼
In the case of tax evasion prevention, business operators must pay VAT. If you pay in cash here, the National Tax Service cannot confirm it.
Therefore, to prevent such tax evasion, cash receipts are used.
In the case of income deduction, on the contrary, it is from the consumer’s point of view.
From the consumer’s point of view, if you make a cash receipt, you can receive an income deduction of up to 3 million won per year.
For that reason, if you keep your cash receipts meticulously on a regular basis, you will be able to receive income deduction benefits when you do your year-end tax settlement.
* Year-end settlement of cash receipts
From the consumer’s point of view, he said that if a receipt is made in cash, he can receive a tax deduction at the time of year-end tax settlement. Let’s take a look at it in detail.
Usually, the rate of income deduction is 40% for traditional markets and public transportation / 30% for cultural life, check cards, and cash receipts / 15% for credit cards.
Also, the limit varies depending on the conditions of the income deduction.
To qualify for the income deduction, you must use at least 25% of your total annual income.
That way, you can see that the income deduction is applied from the excess of 25% there.
If the annual gross income is 70 million won or less, the deduction limit is 3 million won,
If it is 70 million won to 120 million won, the deduction limit is 2.5 million won,
If it exceeds 120 million won, the deduction limit is 2 million won.
To summarize, if you use a credit card for less than 25% of your annual income, use a debit card or cash receipt for more than 25% of your annual income.
* Cash receipt VAT, mandatory issuance
There has been talk of VAT as to the reason for having to pay cash receipts.
Business owners must pay VAT, and cash receipts are to prevent such tax evasion.
Therefore, cash receipts are obligated to issue even for VAT.
If you are a consumer-facing business, you must issue a cash receipt after supplying goods and services in relation to the business and paying the other party in cash.
In this case, the amount subject to issuance is KRW 1 or more.
The issuance method is to issue an income deduction to the final consumer and proof of expenditure to the business operator.
There is also a cancellation method. Enter the approval number, date of acceptance, and reason for cancellation of the initially approved transaction, and indicate cancellation of cash payment.
Voluntary issuance can be issued with a mobile phone number or a code designated by the National Tax Service even if the consumer does not request issuance of a cash receipt.
However, voluntary issuance must be made within 5 days of receiving the cash.
Penalty tax may be imposed in case of refusal to issue.
If the issuance is not issued despite the consumer’s request for issuance, or is issued in a different way, a penalty of 5% of the unissued amount is imposed.
In case of refusal to issue the order after receiving the order, an additional 20% fine for non-issuance or false information issuance will be charged.
* Cash receipt inquiry and application method
If so, let’s learn how to check and apply for cash receipts.
You can easily check your cash receipts at Hometax of the National Tax Service.
On the main screen, click the Cash Receipt Inquiry in the categories under Inquiry/Issue to view the usage details (income deduction). Click on it.
You can then check the history of your cash receipts.
You can search by day / week / month.
If you search in the inquiry period, you will be able to inquire the cash receipt details.
The following is how to apply for a cash receipt.
For cash receipts, you can register your card or mobile phone number after registering as a member at Hometax of the National Tax Service. Alternatively, you can register by calling 126.
It’s easier than you think, so you can do it without difficulty.
In Hometax, you can click Issue Cash Receipt in the categories below Inquiry/Issue.
You can conveniently apply through the cash receipt issuance system.
Today we talked about cash receipts like this. I hope you do it for yourself, both as a business and as a consumer.
When you purchase goods or use services in your daily life, the staff always asks if you would like a cash receipt.
I’ve been saying it’s because I’m shy… As readers know, it’s used for tax refund when filing global income tax and year-end settlement.
The cash receipt system was first implemented in Korea in 2005. The purpose of this is, of course, to collect taxes. If you exceed 25% of your total salary, you can receive a 30% income deduction.
The procedure is as follows, so you can take a look.
Today, in that sense, I will proceed with posting about cash receipt inquiry and income deduction!
First, search for Hometax on Naver and visit the official website.
After that, click the login menu at the top.
Recently, I was a little embarrassed because the public certificate has expired, but the simple authentication system such as KakaoTalk, PASS, and Naver certificates is well established. So luckily, I was able to log in easily. Hope your readers take note too!
In order to check the cash receipt, you need to check the usage history section. So, let’s do it like the picture above.
It is cumbersome to do it daily or weekly, so just set it monthly. And if you set the inquiry period, you can inquire about the cash receipt in this way. You can print and download Excel, so I hope you can use it to your heart’s content.
If you can’t see it, it’s highly likely that you haven’t signed up for a cash receipt. So, please issue a cash receipt from the Inquiry/Issue menu. Note that it is not necessary to enter only your mobile phone number.
Now that you know about cash receipt income deduction and inquiry, you must have had some fun! However, there are some stores that refuse to accept cash receipts. This is up to you, but as it is absolutely illegal, you can consult/report -> report non-issuance. Still, it’s better to know rather than not know.
This concludes the post on cash receipt inquiry and income deduction. Thanks for reading!
There are many people who are looking for ways to check the history of cash receipts to file a global income tax in May. I also downloaded and organized all the cash receipts a while ago. Today, I am going to try to summarize how to download cash receipt details as an Excel file from Hometax.
Hometax login is required first. Log in according to your convenience, such as certificate login or ID login, and go to the top [Inquiry/Issue – Penalty Receipt – Cash Receipt Inquiry – Usage History Inquiry]. If you have used the business expense proof, you can access the purchase history (expense proof) inquiry right below.
Cash receipt usage history can be viewed by day, week, or month by default. So, if you need to download all of the 2021 details for this year’s global income tax return, you must inquire directly from January to December 2021. Select a desired period and click Search to display the list all the way at the bottom.
You can download it as an Excel file, or print it right away if you want to print. I downloaded the monthly data to make all the 2021 history into one file, and went through the process of merging them into one in the Excel file.
The downloaded Excel file is displayed the same as it appears on the Hometax screen. Since it is received in Excel table format, editing and other processing are more convenient, but there is no significant difference. You can create your own 2021 data by combining the monthly data one by one.
There is a way to retrieve records for a year, but it is not perfect. Access to the total usage history inquiry.
Then, if you click on the year of inquiry, the accumulated details are inquired. The data is summarized to the extent that the total amount is counted every month, and as a result, the total amount is confirmed for the year. Expenditure proof is also displayed in the form of a cumulative total, so you can check it according to your needs.
I have summarized the process of checking the usage history of cash receipts in Hometax and downloading it as an Excel file. It is not difficult at all if you do it once, but it seems inevitable that this process is cumbersome in May of every year. Even if it is not in May for global income tax processing, there will be people who need to inquire at any time, so please follow it slowly 😀
